The only downside is that the pitch shift switch takes the spot where your tap tempo switch would be on some other delays, so that’s a bit of give and take, but nevertheless this pedal wields some phenomenal sounds. The coolest part is the pitch shift functionality has an independent switch so you can easily use both the clean delay and the pitch shifting separately. The Raster looks like it is fully capable of being a great standalone delay, but the differentiating capability is that it brings the pitch and phase-shifting capability on to your board in a one-stop shop. One interesting trick with this pedal is you can apply a harmonized tone to the repeat but not the original note played in the delay, which adds a powerful and surprising feeling the overall tone. This means that in addition to the delay effects (or on a standalone basis), you can dial up chorus effects, fattened up harmonized tones (octave up and octave down), detuned synth emulations (fourth down to minor third up), and ring modulations. The Raster is actually more of a Leatherman type multi-tool effect, as it not only has all your standard digital delay needs covered (up to 750 ms and three delay modes for standard, continuous, and reverse delay), but it also has both a built in pitch shifter and phase shifter. Shop the Red Panda Particle V2 granular delay, pitch shifter guitar effects pedal at Rogue Guitar Shop. It’s not really fair to classify the new Red Panda Raster Delay as just a delay pedal. SolidGoldFX EM-III Multi-Head Octave Echo Demo. Guitar, Synthesizer and Drum Machine demo of Red Panda Labs enigmatic echo machine, the Raster 2. The eight modes can be combined to explore more granular synthesis territory, and MIDI (via USB) gives access to additional parameters.Updated Jun. Red Panda Raster 2 Delay Demo A Sound Designer’s Dream DecemPhil Kaiser Delay, Less Talk More Tone, Pedal Demos, Reverb. The expression pedal is assignable to any combination of knobs, and our DIY-friendly Remote 4 switch allows foot control while the Particle sits at table height for knob tweaking. Tap tempo allows delay time, LFO rate, grain size, and density adjustment with independent note divisions. Delay time has been extended from 900 ms to 2500 ms, at a higher sampling rate. The active preset and bypass state are remembered, eliminating pre-show adjustments. The enclosure is smaller, 3” wide with all jacks on top. Particle 2 is a complete redesign, incorporating many improvements for live use and better sound quality. Requires a 9V 250 mA center negative power supply (not included).
June 2010: released the Subdivision octave/subharmonic generator ToneCore module. The Tensor is in a pedalboard-friendly enclosure with all jacks on top.
Feedback with adjustable lowpass filter October 2009: released the Red Panda Bitcrusher for the Line 6 ToneCore platform.Adjustable grain size and density (inter-onset interval).Forward or reverse delay can be shifted once or have continuously shifted repeats. 5 delay modes: random, density, LFO, random pitch, reverse Here we have a brand new Red Panda Raster 2 Digital Delay Pedal The Raster is a 1600 ms digital delay with a pitch and frequency shifter integrated into the feedback path.
Results range from radical pitch and delay modulation to shimmering repeats to time stretching, stutter, and glitch sounds. Knob responses are carefully tuned for exploration of self-oscillation and feedback on the verge of blowing up, but it also works great for clean delays up to 750 ms. The Raster is a digital delay with a pitch shifter integrated into the feed-back loop. It chops your signal into small grains and then rearranges, shifts, and mangles it, using the techniques of granular synthesis in real time. Thank you for purchasing the Red Panda Raster. Particle™ is a granular delay / pitch shifting pedal.
